Dive DEEP into the Daypackah™

How it is SO MUCH MORE than just a "Backpack Module"

XRD® Technology Shoulder Straps

XRD® foam absorbs up to 90% of impact force repeatedly, as measured by ASTM F1614, and it helps to distribute weight effectively across the whole strip in your shoulder straps. With XRD® tech, you will feel more comfortable even when carrying a heavy backpack, without feeling a concentrated pressure point.

XRD® material also maintains at least 90% (in most cases up to 98%) of their original thickness and shape to ensure a consistent fit over the lifecycle. Even if you carry heavy consistently everyday, your shoulder straps would provide long lasting cushioning and comfort to support you.

VentraGrid™ Double-sided Moulded Back Panel

We aim to create the evil baby between the a normal daypack and a hiking backpack’s back panel, one that looks good but still promotes a good amount of ventilation.

The VentraGrid™ features grooves and extrusions in different orientations with strategic openings on both sides, to encourage ventilation while maintaining good back support. (Patent-Pending)

With the openings across the surfaces, when you carry the backpack and walk, your body would push into the back panel and the motion would force the air behind to escape through the openings across the surface. Fresh air would then be filled into that space through the slits on the side of the back panel and a ventilation cycle is then created.

Stowable Water Bottle Pocket

They can be stowed away very easily when you do not plan on bringing a water bottle, so the backpack looks better. (Let’s admit it, whenever the backpack has a water bottle on the outside, it doesn’t look good.)

The elastic bands are replaceable and “adjustable” in a way. You can hold smaller items tightly when use both straps to hold them and they can hold larger items with only one strap around.

Updates we've made

We listen, we design and and we implement.
We listened to influencers, comments and emails, and we made several design updates to the Daypackah™ post-Kickstarter without increasing the unit price, because we are all for creating the best product we can.

Here are some of my favorite upgrades.

Quick-Access Pocket

We still stand by what we talked about quick-access pockets in general - we should not put any of our important essentials here because it is so easy for people to steal. However, we do agree that having a quick-access pocket for non-essentials like tissues and snacks, can be very useful. Therefore, we added a quick-access pocket on the front panel, with 2 mesh pockets inside for minimal organizations, all while maintaining the minimal design language we value in the original design.

The Noncollapsible Arch

This is perhaps my favorite upgrade of them all. The top of the front panel in the original design is very prone to "collapsing". And despite several failed attempts at fixing it, we are proud to say that we finally created a soft backpack that does NOT collapse in the middle.

A Sexier Water Bottle Pocket

We lined the Stowable Water Bottle Pocket's flap to give it a stiffer form, so that it will be easier to set up and to be stowed away, not to mention its sexier outlook. Its reliability and convenience are still as solid as our original design, which has been tested heavily with bottles ranging from 200mL to 1500mL.

Main Fabric Upgrade

With the amazing support given by our backers, we sourced a better, more durable and a visually juicier fabric - the 840D Ballistic Cordura® N6.6. It feels better to the touch, gives the backpack a more refined form while providing even better durability than our original fabric. It also has the same water-resistant coating that we had so you won't need to worry about your items getting wet in the rain.

Lighter Back Board Material

To avoid making the Daypackah™ heavier than it already was, we had to find ways to reduce weight because the new 840D fabric is heavier than the 420D fabric used in the original design. One of the weight reduction happened to the back board, where we used a material that is light, but still provided very good structural support to the backpack. We've already tested it for months and it has not let us down even once.

Want to contribute to the upcoming designs?

a:tach® strives for creating a harmonious ecosystem, where we can bring different habits and hobbies together using one system. We know that we cannot do this ourselves as we need end users' experiences to create the best suited design for each niche, and these Daypackah™'s upgrades are proof that we need YOUR opinions to make our designs better!

Therefore, we are recruiting Designahs, where we will discuss and design future iterations together. We can share features that we love in other products and even suggest a whole new bag's idea for a:tach® to pursue!
