Frequently Asked Questions

Product & System

What is the Slingah System™?

A 2.5L sling (Slingah™) that lives inside a 22L daypack (Daypackah™). Your essentials stay in the Slingah — when you need to carry more, slip it into the Daypackah; when you want to go light, pull it back out in one motion. Nothing gets left behind, nothing gets repacked.

Can I buy the Slingah™ or Daypackah™ separately, or do I need the full System?

Yes — Slingah™ and Daypackah™ are both sold individually, or together as the Slingah System™ at a discount versus buying separately. They're designed to work as a pair, but you don't have to own both.

What's actually in "1 + 1 doesn't equal 2"?

It means the two bags are worth more together than apart — your Slingah docks inside your Daypackah, so switching between "carry more" and "go light" takes seconds, not a full re-pack.

What materials are used in Slingah System products?

840D Ballistic Cordura® N6.6 exterior, 210D Oxford lining, YKK® AquaGuard® zippers, Fidlock® magnetic hardware, Duraflex® and Woojin® hardware.

Are the Slingah System™ waterproof?

Water-resistant, not waterproof — the AquaGuard® zippers and water-repellent coating handle rain and showers fine, but don't submerge it. For prolonged exposure to heavy rain, use a rain cover.

How adjustable is the strap for different body sizes?

The Slingah's strap is dialed in for medium and petite builds. If you're a bigger guy (or just want more room), grab the Hoopah™ extension strap — it clips right on and was built specifically to give larger frames a comfortable, non-cramped fit.

What's the deal with the strap "tightening as it unfolds" — is that for comfort?

No — that's a system-integration feature, not a comfort one. When you unfold the Slingah to dock it inside the Daypackah, the strap automatically shortens so there's no loose strap dangling inside to tangle or snag. Worn on its own, the strap sits normally.

Does the front quick-access pocket fit my wallet or phone?

It's designed for non-essentials only (tissues, snacks, small odds and ends) — we deliberately kept valuables inside the zipped, more secure compartments rather than an easily-snatched external pocket.

Is 22L the real capacity of the Daypackah™, or does it pack more?

We state 22L as the measured spec. Some owners feel it packs larger in practice, but we don't have hard data to back a bigger number, so we stick to what we've verified.

Ordering & Shipping

How do I place an order?

After you've added your desired items to the shopping cart, you can enter the shipping address on the check out page and check out after selecting your preferred shipping method.

If there are any trouble preventing you from checking out, please email us at support@a-tach.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Can I cancel or change my order?

If your order has not shipped yet, contact us at support@a-tach.com as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to help.

Once an order has shipped, changes or cancellations may no longer be possible.

What payment methods do you accept?

All payments are securely processed through Shopify and powered by Stripe, a trusted global payment provider. We accept most major credit cards, as well as PayPal and Apple Pay, which can be selected during checkout.

What happens after I've placed an order?

Once your order has shipped, you'll receive a confirmation email with tracking details — delivery time after that depends on the shipping method you chose at checkout (see our Shipping Policy for the breakdown).

How long does shipping take?

Orders are packed and dispatched within 1–2 business days. From there: Economy shipping is free (no minimum spend) and takes about 10–20 business days; UPS or FedEx is priced at checkout and takes about 3–7 business days. Exact times vary by destination — see our full Shipping Policy for the breakdown by region.

Do you ship internationally, and are there customs fees?

Yes, we ship worldwide from Hong Kong. Duties and customs are on us — you shouldn't be charged extra when your order arrives. If a courier ever asks you to pay customs directly, don't pay it — forward the invoice to support@a-tach.com and we'll take care of it.

Warranty, Care & Repairs

What does the warranty cover?

Every a:tach product carries a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defects — stitching and seam failure, zip, buckle, and hardware failure, or fabric/material defects caused by how the product was made. There's no time limit on this. It doesn't cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, or damage from third-party repairs or alterations.

How do I file a warranty claim?

Contact our support team with:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the issue
  • Clear photos of the affected area

We’ll guide you through the next steps.

Can the bag be repaired?

If the issue is outside warranty coverage, we’ll do our best to advise on repair options or replacement parts when available.

How do I clean the bag?

Spot clean only. Wipe the area with a damp cloth, and for tougher marks add a small amount of mild detergent (avoid bleach or harsh chemicals — they can strip the water-repellent coating). Gently work it in with a soft cloth, then wipe away any residue with a clean, damp cloth and let it air dry in the shade, away from direct sun or a dryer. We don't recommend machine washing or submerging the bag — it can affect the coating, zippers, and hardware.

Community & Brand

What is the Designah™ community?

A co-design platform (~100 founding members, mostly Kickstarter backers, on Discord) where members shape the next feature or bag idea directly — "I got the expertise and you got the experience."

Can I visit the a:tach warehouse or meet Thomas in person?

Yes, by appointment — Day 1 Studio, Kwai Chung, HK. Reach out via IG or email to arrange a visit.

Why does a:tach cap production runs instead of making more?

Each run is intentionally capped — it's how we keep quality consistent with a small, hands-on team. Join the Designah™ list for priority alerts before the next batch opens.
