The Slingah System™ - Modular Backpack & Sling Bag Duo (22L + 2.5L)

i've told thomas this personally over email, but i haven't used another bag since i received this set in the mail! the quality is top notch, and the genuine desire to improve the product while keeping customer feedback and ideas in mind is what keeps me coming back to see what new ideas and updates thomas and this community have come up with.

the bag itself is incredibly well made, i could not be happier with the quality and durability of the product. if i have any issues, it's genuinely just small nitpicky things that hold no real bearing over the overall feel and user experience.

i have had minor issues with the straps, of the daypackah specifically, getting stuck because the strap gets twisted in the buckle. this is mainly due to the fact that i have a habit of hanging things like sweaters or a water bottle with a carabiner on the strap while i'm walking around, and i think the weight affects the way the straps sit. this is more of a personal issue though.

other than this personal gripe, i genuinely cannot think of actual negatives with the product. truly a masterclass of product design and customer service!

I've been using the Slingah System everyday for about 9 months, and I'm still loving it. I use it for everyday work with a 15.6inch laptop, tablet, electronic accessories, and the occassional sporting gear, etc and it holds up well. I've used it for travelling a couple of times too, and I just love how I can remove the Slingah easily and go about my day. Definitely my favourite part about this bag. I've been sharing about my bag with a lot of people, and the crazy thing is 90% of the sharing started because they first asked me about the bag!

A little inconvenience I had came from the shoulder strap "rolling inside" sometimes when I put on the bag but it doesn't really affect the whole experience with the Slingah System.

All in all, an ideal bag for me. Couldn't have asked for a better bag.

This bag is fantastic: as a bag, it hits all the basics:
- Feels sturdy and and high-quality in its build (unlike cheap bags)
- It's lightweight and easy to carry (compared to other super-premium heavy-duty bags, though I come from a camera-bag background).
- Weight distrubtion is excellent, and I have found myself carrying it easily for longer distances that other bags I ordinarily carry.

I've taken this bag on multiple flights and around the world, including several trans-pacific flights:
- The bag is SPACIOUS for all the tech I bring. Separate pockets for the laptop and the huge main compartment made putting smart glasses, cameras, power banks, and extra clothes into the bag super simple.
- it holds its shape nicely and stows away under the seat quite easily
- secret compartment pushed against my back fits my U.S. Passport super easily and securely
- airtag holders are well-hidden and keep the airtags protected and secure
- The computer area is very protective but skinny. Putting a thicker laptop plus tablet causes some bulging, which makes the carry every so slightly more awkward.
- The organizational pockets on the backpackah and the slingah are a little small- it's hard to use them for their inteded purposes
- most internal organization requires the Slignah to be docked, which take up precious space if we are trying to maximize Backpackah space

The Slingah system is convenient if you are used to carrying slings. I'm traditionally a pocket-carrier, so the slingah has some things I'm still not quite used to:
- the slingah fidlock key clip is easy to use once you get used to it
- the slingah is perfect for fitting small objects, but gets quite full/stuffed easily
- it's designed for right-shoulder slinging, so it's a little awkward since I prefer left-shoulder slinging
- the strap is quite short for my stature, but there is an extension you can get that apparently alleviates this.
- the connector system is really smooth and secure, but sometimes it takes some fiddling, especially if there's other things in the bag already
- if the bag is loaded in a certain way, the connector system is only two points of contact and causes some sagging with the Slingah.

I'll be dailying this bag for the foreseeable future, but I do hope to see:
- improved/more comfortable straps
- native methods to carry camera equipment
- a dockable version of the Slingah that has a larger compartment for carrying larger things that don't quite require a backpack (i.e. a bag larger than the surrent Slingah but smaller than the Backpackah)

The bag has been a dream for me, being able to switch between a big and small versions of the bag depending on requirements. My one concern is along the straps of the Backpackah, where sometimes I have to readjust the straps when they are misaligned. Other than that it’s one of my favourite buys in a while and i look forward to more improvements from the brand!

cant say enough about this whole system. i was on the hunt for a new daily backpack. this caught my attention immediately. the incredible versatility is so well thought out. what surprised me the most since it arrived is i have used the daypackah maybe twice but never leave the house without the slingah. i have never used a small bag like it before and it has completely replaced my entire backpack. the big bag is ready and waiting but no longer necessary for my day to day needs. couldn’t be happier with this purchase or the decision to support a wonderful creator.
